Academic Purpose Statement: The purpose of this non-experimental quantitative correlational research study is to determine which independent variable, PSM or PsyCap, has a greater impact on the dependent variable, turnover intent, in local government senior executives in the United States, while controlling for the independent variables age and gender.
Management Summary: The goal of this research is to find out whether a passion for public service (public service motivation) or a positive outlook (psychological capital) has a greater influence on local government executives' intention to leave their positions while also considering the role of age and gender.
